Ordered a Lennox's delivery to Douglas last night and came away genuinely impressed.
Lennox's is a Cork institution. First opened in 1953 and now with locations all around the county. I ordered from the MacCurtain Street branch and thought the quality and service were excellent.
The Delivery
What I Ordered
I went for the Cajun Chicken Pitta, a battered sausage, chips and a can of Coke. The Chicken Pitta was delicious. Like a cross between Abrakebabra and a Creole from KC's. The chips were made from real Irish potatoes and were some of the best I've had from a chipper. The battered sausage was spot on too.
The Verdict
For chipper food, the quality was high and nothing was too greasy. It actually felt moderately healthy by chipper standards. Delivery arrived on time and the prices were fairly competitive for Cork.
